Community Health Systems RN - 5 East/Clinical Decision Unit/Observation Unit (INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY) in Blue Island, Illinois
The Registered Nurse has responsibilities/accountability for implementing the nursing process which includes assessment, developing the patient plan of care, implementing the plan of care, reassessing, evaluating and revising the plan of care. The Registered Nurse is also responsible maximizing utilization of support personnel through appropriate coordination, delegation, and supervision. The Registered Nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient s test results, and to communicate them to the primary care physician to help expedite the disposition of the observation patient within 24 hours of arrival. The Registered Nurse is accountable to demonstrate and continue to develop proficiency in knowledge and skill specific to the RN license and practice.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate s degree in nursing required.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate s degree in nursing required. Must pass basic EKG Rhythm Interpretation test within 90 days of hire.
Current nursing license in the state of Illinois required. Current BLS and ACLS certification required. BLS and ACLS certification must remain current throughout employment. NIH stroke certification within 6 months of hire, must remain current throughout employment.
CPI certification strongly preferred; CPI certification required and must remain current no later than 12/31/2019
