Ensure all phone lines are answered in a timely manner. Treat all incoming phone calls with dignity and efficiency. Transfer all patient calls to the proper room or area in which the caller request.
To ensure all emergency phone calls are treated with professionalism and efficiency.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience
Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing required; as is the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word. Must be flexible with work scheduling. Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
