Community Health Systems RN Manager, Neuroprogressive & Neuro Intermediate Units in St. Petersburg, Florida
Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, Pinellas County s Level II Trauma Center, Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center, seeks a dynamic NURSE MANAGER to join our brand new, high tech, expanded Neuroscience Program to oversee our Neuroprogressive and Neuro Intermediate Units .
Administers the managerial functions of setting objectives, planning, organizing, controlling and evaluating the activities of the assigned patient care areas, to produce excellence in all aspects of service, outcome and cost.
Supervises RNs, PCT s, Unit Secretary and Video EEG Monitor Technicians in relation to providing excellent patient care.
Provide optimum levels of leadership, including encouragement, training and support in order to help others achieve results and meet budget.
Create a positive and innovative atmosphere which encourages people to commit themselves to the task at hand and when necessary, go beyond the call of duty in order to achieve their key objectives.
BSN or BA/BS in health related field or 10 years of leadership experience and completion of BSN within 1 year of hire
MBA, MSN, MHA or other related Master s degree Preferred.
Current RN Florida licensure
Nursing Administration Certification or CNRN preferred.
Clinical expertise in Neuro, leadership experience and demonstrated ability to function effectively in supervisory capacity
2 years as manager preferred
Demonstrated ability in mentor role preferred
24 Bed Neuroprogressive Unit
12 Bed Neuro Intermediate Unit
A wide range of medical and neurosurgery patients including Traumatic Brain Injury; Complicated Spine surgery; Stroke; Epilepsy; Neuro Diagnostics, Neuro Oncology, Neuro-interventional radiology.
- We are the only center in the area performing thrombectomies for large vessel occlusion strokes.
