Community Health Systems RN - Labor & Delivery - Seasonal in Tucson, Arizona
This position is a Seasonal 13 week commitment
The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department at Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center, evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
The RN assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. The RN promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and care needs. The NICU RN relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of tasks. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care. Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care.
ADN or Diploma in Nursing Program, BSN preferred
Clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.
Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
BLS certification card (CPR)- American Heart Association
NRP for Women's Center
(All new graduate nurses or nurses new to specialty area have 180 days in which to obtain ACLS, PALS or NRP, as required by unit).
