This RN - PACU position is NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Call! Great Opportunity for PRN - Day Shift - Recovery Room in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center setting. This position Requires an ADN diploma in a nursing program.
Summary: Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care.
Provides competent, safe and timely patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Accurately and legibly documents all assessments, interventions and plan of care according to policies and procedures.
Transcribes and reviews all orders in a timely manner.
Monitors clinical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Ensures accurate, timely communication among caregivers (e.g. handoff/report, SBAR, timely communication to charge nurse/supervisor of issues) to include appropriate chain of command when indicated.
Provides and documents effective and timely patient/family education.
Assumes responsibility for appropriate delegation of patient care tasks and oversees care provided by delegates.
Accurate and timely administration and documentation of all medications and blood products.

Licenses & Certifications
C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
2 years or more of recovery room or critical care experience preferred.
