Community Health Systems Surgical Tech - Full Time - Nights in TUCSON, Arizona

This is a full time position working in the Women's Center at Northwest Medical Center.

Summary:

Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in the care of the surgical patient by performing surgical tech duties and related activities for surgical procedures. Performs unit clerk duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program

-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training

-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field

-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience"

Experience:

Preferred: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician.

Skills:

Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means. Excellent skills in customer relations. Ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload. Ability to respond to multiple situations and questions that require sound judgments and action for quality patient care.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: BLS (American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
