Community Health Systems Dialysis Technician-PRN w Rotation in VICKSBURG, Mississippi

Description

The primary purpose of the certified hemodialysis Technician is to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis treatment for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Merit Health policies, procedures and training and in compliance with the regulations set forth by the corporation, state and federal agencies. Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Supports the Merit Health mission, vision and values.

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Ÿ Preferred: A certificate of successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.

Preferred: One (1) year as a Hemodialysis Care Technician

Preferred: Acute Dialysis experience

• Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.

Ÿ Preferred: Current hemodialysis certification with MS Board of Nursing.

Ÿ Preferred: Current American Nephrology Nurses Association CCHT and or / BONET
