Description

The Food Service Worker I performs nutrition service functions throughout the cafeteria and patient food service areas. The Food Service Worker assists with food preparation and serving of food, sanitation of the kitchen, cleaning of utensils and dishes, rubbish disposal, stocks patient care floor nutrition items. The Food Service Worker prepares and delivers trays to patients in the care of the facility. Some post-secondary education is preferred. Must be able to read and write the equivalent of eighth grade English. One (1) year experience in healthcare and/or large-scale food preparation is strongly preferred. National Restaurant Serve-Safe Certification is strongly preferred.
