Community Health Systems RN-Wound Care-FT-Day Shift in VICKSBURG, Mississippi

Description

Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient and family centered care in the Wound Care Department for all patient populations. Roles during this phase of care focus on assessing the patient and developing a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs of the patient and family. This includes validation of existing information, completion of preparation of the patient and wound treatment for persons with draining wounds, fistulas, pressure, diabetic and vascular ulcers and incontinence associated with skin issues. Educates staff, families and patients, and the community about the specialized care of wounds. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Collects data for care improvement opportunities.

Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Prior wound care, medsurg or surgical experience is preferred. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required. BLS certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the position).
