Description:

This position will provide one to one and/or group support and intervention when required including behavioral modification techniques and proactive strategies to stabilize the child or adolescent as outlined in the Service/Treatment Plan, and accept additions to caseload as assigned. The Therapeutic Staff Support will take direction from the Behavioral Specialist Consultant of Community Counseling Services

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in a Mental Health or Human Service field with no prior work experience, OR a Bachelor degree in any field with one year full-time paid work experience with children or adolescents, OR an Associates Degree or 60 credits toward a Bachelor degree with at least three years full-time paid work experience with children or adolescents. Ongoing training and workshops are provided and are mandatory as is knowledge of the CASSP System.

Heartsaver/First Aid CPR required, must be completed by end of orientation period

Knowledge of the mental health and social service field; familiarity with and ability to access community resources; ability to make accurate assessments of client needs and to be creative in seeking appropriate services; ability to organize time efficiently to meet client needs in a flexible, non-traditional time frame.
